This divides Bach's original arpeggios between the viola and second violin. These two parts are modestly difficult. Fingerings have been provided for the more awkward arpeggios. I Will Look After You – Aron Wright This haunting little melody was made famous in the UK by virtue of its use in a TV ad for a well-known bank featuring a black horse and its foal. My arrangement for string quartet is a little shorter than the original, lasting two and a half minutes, with the melody being passed amongst the upper strings. None of the parts go beyond 4th position (with the exception of harmonics), making it suitable for early intermediate ensembles. Some close harmonies make good intonation essential. There is also rhythmic interest in the syncopated vocal line. An absolute must-have in the Wedding Album of any String Quartet and sure to become a wedding classic. Note from the arranger: All my arrangements for strings are conceived specifically with the aim of writing interesting parts for all players.
