Perhaps the best way to explain this piece is to say that I stole ideas from other pieces of mine and transformed them into this work. Elements of a duo for piano and marimba duo are there as well as sections using material from a solo piano but here broadened out to take advantage of the four voices. And then there is entirely new material. So something borrowed, something new. The duration is 10'30. This is a score from an older computer music program, thus the reduced price.

Meditation was written in 1978 during a summer vacation in Vermont. The chord progression is based on a Spanish jazz style but the work also recalls some elements of Bach's four-part chorale writing. The duration is 3'00. It can be played separately or as part of a suite featuring: C.S. Chaconne, Meditation, Tango and Caught between a Music Box and a Calliope, a humorous encore piece.
