He is best known for his experimental and avant-garde style of music, which often incorporated elements of rock, jazz, and classical music. One of his most famous pieces is Igor's Boogie, a jazz-influenced instrumental that was first recorded for his 1971 album Chunga's Revenge.Igor's Boogie is a frenetic, energetic piece that is propelled by a driving bass line and a raucous saxophone solo. Zappa himself played all of the instruments on the track, including the guitar, bass, drums, and saxophone. The song also features an array of sound effects and a number of spoken interjections, all of which add to its frenetic energy. The song was popular in the early 1970s, and was covered by numerous artists including the jazz fusion group Return to Forever.
