Fantasy, written over several months by Maurice White, Eddie del Barrio and Verdine White; , was released as a single in 1978 on Columbia Records performed by Earth, Wind and Fire. Although the highest chart position this lush disco anthem reached in the whole world was no. 4 in Ireland, Fantasy remains an all-time classic of its genre. The Italian group Black Box covered Fantasy in 1990 on their debut album Dreamland. This arrangement for string quartet is a relatively straight-forward idiomatic transcription in the same tonalities as the original recording, so you could even play along with it for fun. NB: There are no bar numbers because repeats are in different places in different parts. There are rehearsal marks for navigation and no page turns.
