On one particular occasion many of the guests were music graduates and/or members of choral societies. The Bride requested that we play Zadok the Priest during the Wedding Breakfast. I duly arranged the whole piece for performance by our quartet. While we played, we could hear many voices softly joining in! It's one of those sorts of piece and I think this may be one of the few (if any) purely instrumental versions of this work. I've added an optional bass part if you want to play it with a string orchestra.

The piece existed originally as only an unfinished sketch for solo piano, started some years prior; When Wallin Huff was requested to compose a quick-and-dirty string quartet arrangement of the traditional tune Amazing Grace for a formal fundraising banquet being held in two days, Wallin Huff was inspired to take her old sketch of In the Forest and turn it into this present gem of a string quartet that was instantly well-received and sought after.
