This is a selection of the more straight forward pieces form several of Muffat's Suites for 2 violins, 2 violas and cello. Tutors could either choose a few they like or run the selection through in order. The difficulty level is about grade 5 ABRSM. All parts are interesting, challenging and engaging for students who are new to chamber music, or it could be played with a larger group adding woodwind.

Four is a viola quartet that has enjoyed performances and won a number of prizes since its composition in 2009. It is in three movements and explores the sound of the four homogeneous instruments. 

The first movement is a lively and bouncy, with a rollicking tune and unstoppable momentum. The second has a calm texture, with a solo of harmonics sitting on top of shimmering chords. The final movement ricochets from classical structure to classical structure, starting as a fugue and building energy through inventions, chorales and solos before culminating in a joyful burst of excitement.

It works great for Christmas offertories, special music for a christmas worship service, or for the Concert where inspirational music is desired. Arranger is very experienced(with I Musici), and his works are very loved world widely. And, especially, Shown Bowing sign and Fingering will be very helpful to player.
