Chamber Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.939402 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Robert Debbaut. Classical,Contest,Festival,Historic,Opera. 57 pages. ROBERT DEBBAUT #6342173. Published by ROBERT DEBBAUT (A0.939402). This overture would make a lively concert opener for a group with smaller forces, or work just as well with a large string section.  In the opera itself (Il re pastore, The Shepherd King; 1775), Mozart's overture  segues directly into the opening scene of Act One.  Other Mozart overtures that segue thusly have been arranged with concert endings, such as The Abduction from the Seraglio (arr. Anton Andre) and Idomeneo, King of Crete (arr. Carl Reinecke).  Most of the music contained in this arrangement is Mozart's, including the existing material from the original overture, developmental material of that music, and a segment extracted from the opera's final section.  The work is about six minutes in length and is scored for one flute, two oboes, two bassoons, two horns in F, two trumpets in C, timpani, and string orchestra.  A NotePerformer3 audio file is available from the arranger, as are parts in pdf format. If you purchase, please write to the arranger at debbaut@gmail.com, subject Mozart and I will send you a copy of the parts for $30 via Venmo or personal check.

Chamber Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.817949 Composed by Adrian Dee. 21st Century,Chamber,Classical,Contemporary. Score and Parts. 97 pages. Adrian Dee #6682479. Published by Adrian Dee (A0.817949). I wrote Fantasy in the late spring of 2019. Before I could arrange a premier, the COVID-19 pandemic set in and everything stopped. I finally had the joy of premiering the piece on December 8, 2021, with my home team the Newport Symphony in Newport, Oregon, with Adam Flatt conducting. The audience was on their feet for both the matinee and the evening performances, so I guess they liked it! The piece is melodic, rhythmic, tonal, and just plain fun to play. It goes together easily. Each movement is about five and a half minutes, total play time about 17 minutes. It is appropriate for advanced student groups as well as professional groups. The first movement, Busy Day (Presto), makes repeated use of a four-note motif (G-F-A-D) and is a driving non-stop articulated melody.  The second movement, Lullabye (Andante), opens and closes with the flute playing a brief cadenza, floating above an ambiguous chord in the strings. The bulk of the movement is a dovetailed hypnotic ostinato in the strings with a gentle rocking motion, and the simple flute melody above. The third movement, Wild Dreams (Presto), should be exactly that, wild and raucous, with heavy aggressive accents as indicated. For additional notes, see p. 2 of the PDF.The Youtube link above (Watch) is a recording I made at home in 2020 with my computer playing the string parts. This is the first movement, the second and third follow. It is my sincere hope that this piece will bring joy and exuberance for both the performers and the audience. Let me know if you schedule a performance; I’d love to hear what someone else does with it.adriandeeflute@gmail.com adriandee.com

Chamber Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1471118 Composed by Robert A. Howard. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary,Religious,Spiritual. 17 pages. Robert A. Howard #1048771. Published by Robert A. Howard (A0.1471118). In Memoriam, for chamber orchestra, is a short but powerful work. It was specifically composed in memory of the composer's father, but the work can be used to the reflect any loss, or similar sentiment. The point of departure is the pounding repeated tones (the note D, for Death) at the start of the Lacrymosa of Benjamin Britten's Sinfonia da Requiem; a work which mourned the death of both its composer's parents. Throughout my In Memoriam, the repeated pedal note D is literally ever-present and obsessive, like the looming of death itself, and the percussion take a somewhat military role. The main melodic idea is a twelve-note theme stated at the beginning, though the music is not strictly serial. This theme undergoes various transformations and orchestrations, depicting the many facets of a character who essentially remains themself. More optimistic interludes feature woodwind solos, but the note D always remains. A passage of stark two-part counterpoint is followed by the disintegration of the main theme before a varied return of previous material. Then follows the inevitable dominance of the note D, in crescendo, before the work abruptly ends, frozen still. The work is highly accessible for both performers and audience. The attached document is the score only, with audio for reference. Note that the 3rd & 4th horn parts are optional, or they could be played on 2 trombones.Duration: 5 minutes 30 seconds.Registered with PRS (Performing Rights Society, UK).Composer's website: www.roberthowardmusic.co.uk

Chamber Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1452473 Composed by Daniel Alexis Pemberton. Arranged by Jerry Tsui. 21st Century,Chamber,Contemporary,Film/TV,Jazz. 268 pages. Jerry Tsui #1031805. Published by Jerry Tsui (A0.1452473). Programme Note: This Symphonic Suite is based on the Soundtrack from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse by Daniel Pemberton. The arranger has adapted the music for 20-instruments chamber orchestra. Throughout the suite there are sections that call for improvisation and interpretation from the performers. These moments are designed to allow musicians the freedom to infuse their artistic expression in the arrangement. For those encountering unfamilar notation, detailed explanations and insights are provided below to understanding the score. I hope that this arrangement serves as both a tribute to Mr Pemberton orginial music works and an opportunity for a concert setting in which the musicians and audience enjoy. Jerry Tsui May 2024.

Chamber Orchestra - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.750975 Composed by Samuel A. Ward 1895. Arranged by Brendan Elliget MAGA 537. Patriotic. Score and parts. 12 pages. BJE Music #5789233. Published by BJE Music (A0.750975). America the Beautiful is an American patriotic song. The lyrics were written by Katharine Lee Bates, and the music was composed by church organist and choirmaster Samuel A. Ward at Grace Episcopal Church in Newark, New Jersey. The two never met. Bates originally wrote the words as a poem, Pikes Peak, first published in the Fourth of July edition of the church periodical The Congregationalist in 1895. At that time, the poem was titled America for publication. Ward had originally written the music, Materna, for the hymn O Mother dear, Jerusalem in 1882, though it was not first published until 1892. Ward's music combined with the Bates poem was first published in 1910 and titled America the Beautiful. The song is one of the most popular of the many U.S. patriotic songs. [Wikipedia]It has been arranged here for a String Quartet or Group [Key of C] including a Violin 3 which doubles the Viola part with appropriate range changes. There is also an optional Piano Part (Not shown on the score). The MP3 was recorded with NotePerformer 3.Grade = 2.5 Duration = 1:40 mins (2 verses)

Chamber Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1308171 Composed by Stanley M Hoffman. 21st Century,Classical. Score and Parts. 207 pages. Stanleymhoffman.com #897424. Published by stanleymhoffman.com (A0.1308171). I have long wanted to compose an homage to Jean Sibelius. However, his music is copyright protected in the EU for another five years or so. Thus, I struggled with how to compose a work without any direct musical quotations, and yet which in some way captures the essence of his symphonic music. I had a breakthrough in recent weeks, and the result is an eleven-minute orchestral composition which manages to invoke his music without directly quoting it. The opening passage on which the piece is based invokes the opening of Symphony No. 6 without quoting it; also, my homage is in the key of A Minor whereas the symphony is in the key of D minor. The piece also invokes the orchestral colors of one of my other favorite pieces of Sibelius, The Swan of Tuonela. My composition is scored very closely to that one, but I ended up using two oboes; I never needed an English Horn, and I added two flutes to that scoring. Thus, the instrumentation is as follows: 2fl-2ob-1cl/bcl-2bn-4hn-3tbn-timp-bd-str; the duration is ca. 11:30. My homage also invokes the more youthful compositions of the great master, and of course features his biggest personal influence, the sounds of nature. Sibelius was a master of musical forms. He managed to create entirely original forms such as the one for Symphony No. 7. While I do not pretend to be in his league in any way, I did manage to compose a work in a four-part form, which is unusual, and not the least of which for me. The piece contains all kinds of indirect references to the music of Sibelius through the use of motifs, melodies, harmonies, ornamentation, and orchestration. While not the most original piece of music I have ever composed (that would be The City In the Sea: Choral Tone Poem), my Homage to Sibelius is among the most subtle of my works in that it contains a good deal of variation technique, and a lot of attention to detail. Like my Homage to Vaughan Williams for string orchestra, the idea was not to break new stylistic ground, but rather to pay homage to the ground broken by the master. More so than anything, my Homage to Sibelius invokes how the symphonic music of Sibelius makes me feel when I am listening to it. I hope you enjoy it.---HOMAGE TO SIBELIUS for Chamber OrchestraMusic by  Stanley M.
