Chamber Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.532832 Composed by Therese Brenet. Contemporary. Score and parts. 29 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #45039. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.532832). This work uses wordless-vocalize (singing on Ah, Oh or with the mouth closed, ad libitum). The vocal part is generally quite free, allowing the singer to express herself freely. The orchestration is for tymp/perc/vibra/hp/cel/harps/strings(minimum : 44222) Like a supple vine, the voice seems to unfold across the orchestra, with the warm expressive themes and shining strings, with the support of the harpsichord, the vibraphone and other percussion. Certainly, there is a coloristic note in the orchestral palette, but also a wish to combine the colors of the voice and the orchestra in different manners. Through this osmosis and through the tempo rubato suggested several times, by the absence of metronomic movements, the composer has tried to create music which breathes through freedom, suppleness and poetry, in the infinite spirals of beauty and love, outside of space and time.. The orchestral version of the work was recorded in 2014 with Isaure Equilez, mezzo-soprano and the National Polish Radio Orchestra under the direction of Paul Wehage The orchestral parts are available from the publisher on rental.

Chamber Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.532846 Composed by Therese Brenet. Contemporary,Standards. Score and parts. 46 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #61889. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.532846). This concerto is a stormy work: dry and violent in the first movement, full of rich harmonies in the third movement. Only the second movement, in contrast, resounds with an infinite softness. There are very few metronomic indications or other indications of tempo. Thérèse Brenet wanted to write a music which breathes and which gives the conductor the possibility to make choices to create an interpretation in the true sense of the word Instrumentation 1111/1000/timp/2perc/piano/strings (43322) Parts on rental from the publisher.

Gareth Jones, University of Calgary, 28 Janaury, 2011Première of the version for violin and 17 instruments: Frédéric Moisan, violin Orchestre 21 cond. Paolo Bellomio, Unveristy of Montreal, Canada, 2 March 2012Preface:In the early 1890s, Debussy composed the opening of a lyrical piece in E major for violin and piano, perhaps as a shorter companion piece for the violin Nocturne he was planning for the Belgian violinist Eugène Ysaÿe. After Debussy’s death in 1918, his second wife Emma often gave away sketch pages to performers or composers as memorials to her beloved husband , and this particular page was given to the Cuban born pianist and composer Joaquin Nin (1879-1949). It came up for sale in the catalogue of the British antiquarian dealer Lisa Cox in 2010 and although it might possibly be an early song for contralto and piano, the more dynamic idea in bar 12 strongly suggests the violin, especially as it begins on an open D string. Moreover, there is no text and in pieces of this length, Debussy usually wrote at least one word in, if only to remind himself where he had got to in any song. So my starting point was a complete 12-bar melody gently undulating in the violin’s lowest register over a sensual accompaniment, rising to a climax in bar 12 and giving me a contrasting idea that I could use as a link between sections and in the cadenza. As the B section (bars 14-26) derives directly from Debussy’s opening theme by metamorphosis, my own additions were restricted to the central section (bars 27-57) - comprising a new scherzando idea (C) and the more lyrical D (bars 36-46). C returns at bar 47, followed by the opening sections in reverse order, so that the Sérénade begins and ends with Debussy’s material and is cast in arch form (ABCDCBA). Robert OrledgeBrighton, 19 June 2019Robert Orledge was born in Bath in 1948 and educated at Clare College, Cambridge, where he gained his doctorate for his study of the composer Charles KÅ“chlin in 1973.   Between 1971 and 1991 He rose from Lecturer to Professor in the Music Department of the University of Liverpool, publishing books on Gabriel Fauré, Claude Debussy, Charles KÅ“chlin and Erik Satie, as well as numerous articles, editions and reviews.   As a historical musicologist, Professor Orledge specialized in the way composers composed, ,and since taking early retirement in 2004, he has concentrated on completing and orchestrating Debussy’s unfinished works, and especially his theatre projects. His completion of Debussy’s opera The Fall of the House of Usher (1908-17) was successfully premiered at the Bregenz Opera Festival in Austria in August 2006 and has since been performed in America, Portugal Germany and Holland, as well as being broadcast throughout Europe. A DVD of the Bregenz premier is available on Capriccio 93517, produced by Phylida Lloyd and conducted by Lawrence Foster. His completion of the Chinese ballet No-ja-li ou Le Palais du Silence (1914) was also premiered in 2006 in Los Angeles and ot.

Chamber Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.869428 Composed by Thomas Oboe Lee. 20th Century,Baroque,Classical,Contemporary,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 36 pages. Thomas Oboe Lee #2071135. Published by Thomas Oboe Lee (A0.869428). Instrumentation: oboe, english horn, 2 french horns, and strings. I met Sharon Roffman in the fall of 2011 when maestro Steven Lipsitt and the Boston Classical Orchestra premiered my Symphony No. 8 … The City of Light at Faneuil Hall in Boston, Massachusetts. Sharon was the featured concerto soloist on the same program. She was an electrifying soloist in concertos by Mozart and Haydn, respectively. She wowed every one with her chops and musicality! A year later I went to hear Sharon and the BCO again, and this time I said to Steven Lipsitt that I want to write a concerto for Sharon. He thought it was great idea, and so did she. The title Serenade Rondo has the same acronym as Sharon Roffman. So in this case, the form precedes the composition. Originally I had planned to compose the concerto in the usual three-movement format. And I thought I was going to make the last movement a rondo, something in the usual ABACA thing. But as I proceeded with the composition, I realized that the work was moving in such a way that the whole thing could be conceived of as a rondo. Ultimately Serenade Rondo ended up in this form: ABACDAAudio link: https://thomasoboelee.bandcamp.com/album/serenade-rondo-2013Video link: https://youtu.be/4UPHQlqVNp8

Chamber Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1035228 Composed by Anton Emil Titl (1809 - 1882 ). Arranged by James Strauss. Romantic Period. Score and parts. 30 pages. James Strauss #5873421. Published by James Strauss (A0.1035228). Antonín Emil Titl   Was born October 2, 1809 in Pernstein, and died in January 21, 1882 in Vienna was an Austrian composer. Titl had been the military bandmaster in Prague since 1835. In 1840 he was hired as the successor of Heinrich Proch to the theater in Josefstadt, where he stayed until 1846. From 1850 until his retirement in 1870 he worked at the Burgtheater as Kapellmeister. As a composer, Titl created numerous songs and stage music for both of the above theaters. His greatest success was the Singspiel Der Zauberschleier by Franz Xaver Told, which contained the song A Wirtsg'schäft, which was extremely popular at the time, is really not bad.In 1898 the Titlgasse in Vienna-Hietzing was named after him. Titl's Serenade was composed for flute and horn with orchestra or piano accompaniment. With a lilting Bel Canto style in 12/8, its lyric melody features passages of filigree work that will excite and challenge the musician's technical as well as expressive capabilities. The piece is ideal for contest or recital for the intermediate player. This edition for flute, horn and orchestra is based in 2 sources , a set or parts published in 1896 by the French publisher E. GALLET plate n. G.5688 and a manuscript of the parts from Austrian National Library and has been carefully arranged and edited by James Strauss. All the discrepancies between the sources were corrected and for the very first time in a Full Score format.

Chamber Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.931991 Composed by AntoniÌn Dvořák. Arranged by Steven Klaus. Romantic Period. Score and parts. 55 pages. NiceChart #4764581. Published by NiceChart (A0.931991). This piece, also known as ‘Serenade for wind instruments, cello, and double bass’, has a strong old-world Slavonic styling. This serenade was written as a dedication to composer and music critic Louis Ehlert, whose positive reviews of Dvořák’s works, helped boost his career in Germany. This arrangement focuses on the first of the four movement work which was labeled as Moderato, quasi marcia. The orchestration alone makes this piece unique and requires many of the instruments found in an orchestra. It is a great choice for ensembles that have players that double on other instruments and as a way to showcase chamber work without excluding too many musicians. To add options to this arrangement, supplemental parts have been included for Piano, Guitar, Timpani, Marimba, Snare Drum, Drum Set, Cymbals and Triangle/Bass Drum.
