We all know that tricky period when beginner cellists have mastered basic technique and can play a range of around an octave and a half. At this point, I find lots of simple material is ideal to consolidate early successes. Playing simple Christmas carols is usually a big motivation to students. Now, with this collection of carols, students can join in with Christmas music-making and develop those reading skills at the same time.
