Just The Two Of Us was released in 1981 by Grover Washington Jr. and Bill Withers, and quickly became a popular hit; in addition to reaching #2 on the Billboard charts, the song won a Grammy award for Best R&B Song. Now a pop culture staple, the song has been covered by numerous other artists and has become an iconic love song for all ages -- so you can't go wrong having this one in your gig books! Originally written for a wedding ceremony, this Cellobat arrangement for solo cello will also be perfect for cocktail hour, receptions, proposals, or any other occasion that needs a funky cello groove. No accompaniment part -- it stands alone, or can be played with a backing track for solo gigs (note that if you're getting a track, this chart is in the key of E minor). Rated advanced for a number of tricky syncopated rhythms throughout; this will be sightreadable for professionals but it might be good to look over the rhythms first :) And most importantly, have fun!
