We Three Kings, is an arrangement for flute trio on the American tune 'Kings of Orient' by John H Hopkins. It is ideal repertoire during the Christmas and Epiphany season. In the first verse the melody is in the first flute, in the second verse the melody is shared between the second and third flute, with a short coda at the end to conclude this arrangement. While slurring marks have been added to the score to give a representation of how this arrangement might sound, please use your discretion to achieve the musical performance you desire. We Three Kings, like my other arrangements listed below, is ideal for junior and middle high school students and church music groups. This is an easy flute duet for the Christmas season. The public domain carol was originally composed by John Henry Hopkins Jr in 1857, and it tells the story of the biblical magi or three kings who visited Jesus when he was born. The parts are fairly evenly matched, so flautists can take turns playing each role. Suitable for a flute group, school flute group or flute ensemble, this arrangement could also be used for a larger ensemble with multiple players on each part.
