Everest for countless musicians over the years.  The pinnacle of this musical mountain in the Chaconne in D Minor, arranged here for a new performance concept that I call SUPERFLUTE - a combination of flutes of different sizes that combine to create a single super instrument of increased range and capabilities. Think of it as a four to six-octave flute, and my adaptive personal score (you follow the cued notes but play only the full-sized notes) allows this concept to be applied to solo works for a completely unique ensemble experience. in this instance, three C flutes and one alto flute join together to form one instrument, making this legendary musical adventure accessible to flute players for the first time.

The key sequence is: D major using the basic statement with additional passing notes and decorations, with first flute taking the melody. It then moves up in the 2nd verse to E dorian with a slightly renaissance feel, with alto flute taking the melody. The 3rd verse, with bass flute on melody, goes on up to a jolly renaissance-style dance also in E Dorian, incorporating a mix of 3/4 and 6/8 rhythms. The final verse goes back to the D major 4/4 version with additional decorations and passing notes, while also occasionally reminding the audience of the 6/8-style contra-rhythms of the Dorian verses.
