This set of 4 pieces is compiled so, that in one booklet different aspects of the ensemble playing can be optimally practiced. A quiet, slow piece, where you can work on the sound and the intonation of the ensemble (Bach).

A work in which the accompanying voices and main melody must find a dynamic balance. In which, however, a common breathing phrasing is required (Brahms).

Even more, the Gnossienne no 1 demands the same skills as Brahms. Whereby a common, swaying rhythmic pulsation is added.

Seventy-Six Trombones is the signature song from the 1957 musical play The Music Man (1957), written by Meredith Willson. The piece is also commonly played by marching and military bands.

Leroy Anderson wrote a popular arrangement of the piece integrating other popular marches, including Stars and Stripes Forever and The Washington Post March by John Philip Sousa, the National Emblem march by Edwin Eugene Bagley, the Swedish march Under blÃ¥gul fana (Under the Blue and Yellow Flag) by Viktor Widqvist, and the Second Regiment, Connecticut National Guard march by D. W. Reeves.

This arrangement for clarinet quartet includes the following parts: Bb Clarinet 1 or Eb Clarinet, Bb Clarinet 2, Bb Clarinet 3 or Eb Alto Clarinet, Bb Bass Clarinet. It is suitable for repertoire, classroom and recital.

Frühlingsstimmen, Op. 410 (Spring's Voices, or commonly Voices of Spring) is an orchestral waltz, with optional solo soprano voice, written in 1882 by Johann Strauss II.
Strauss dedicated the work to the pianist and composer Alfred Grünfeld. The famous coloratura soprano Bertha Schwarz (stage name Bianca Bianchi) sang this concert aria at a grand matinée charity performance at the Theater an der Wien in aid of the Emperor Franz Josef and Empress Elisabeth Foundation for Indigent Austro-Hungarian subjects in Leipzig. The waltz was not a great success at its premiere, but was more successful when performed on Strauss' tour of Russia in 1886.

The Dutch Composer, Johan B Kok (1889-1954), wrote over two- hundred compositions for different combinations of instruments, all of which included the Mandolin or the Mandolin Orchestra. ‘Joska’, originally written for two Mandolins, Mandola and Guitar, bears the subtitle and style of the ‘Zigeuner Romance’ or ‘Gypsy Romance’, and it may well have been inspired by Monti’s better known ‘Czardas’, which, significantly, was also originally written for Mandolin and Piano. Both pieces have contrasting slow and fast sections, which is typical of Central European ‘tavern music’, commonly associated with Hungary. ‘Czardas’, of course, means ‘tavern’ in Hungarian.

Written in 1955, Unchained Melody is reputedly the world's most recorded song. It was originally written for a prison film called Unchained.  The song was sung by a prisoner trying to decide whether to attempt escape and live life on the run or to complete his sentence and return to his wife.  Today it is most commonly associated with the romantic 'pottery' scene in the film Ghost.  Here it is arranged for 4 clarinets in a simple, but effective way.
