The Partita No. 6 is the last and most complex of Bach's six partitas published as part of his Clavier-Übung I. It is considered Bach's greatest suite and the crowning work of the set, featuring some of the most dramatic and ambitious writing in his keyboard repertoire. The partita consists of seven movements, all in the key of E minor. It opens with a lengthy and virtuosic toccata-like movement, followed by an allemande, corrente, sarabande, tempo di gavotta, gigue, and an air.
