Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Clarinet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.527656 Composed by Johann Strauss Jr. Arranged by Diego Marani. Classical,Holiday,Instructional,Romantic Period,Standards. 20 pages. Diego Marani #3066917. Published by Diego Marani (A0.527656). Tritsch-Tratsch-Polka, Op. 214, is a polka written by Johann Strauss II in 1858 after a successful tour of Russia where he performed in the summer concert season at Pavlovsk, Saint Petersburg. The title may be interpreted as Chit-chat and may refer to the Viennese passion for gossip. Strauss may also have been referencing the single act burlesque Der Tritsch-tratsch (with music by Adolf Müller, Sr.) by the famous Austrian dramatist and actor Johann Nestroy, which premiered in 1833 and was still in the stage repertoire when the polka was written. Many point out that the title may also have meant his first wife's (Henrietta Treffz) poodle, also named Tritsch-tratsch, but this etymology remains unsubstantiated as well. The mood of the piece is jaunty and high-spirited, as were many of Strauss' polkas. This arrangement for clarinet quartet includes the following parts: Bb Clarinet 1 or Eb Clarinet, Bb Clarinet 2, Bb Clarinet 3 or Eb Alto Clarinet, Bb Bass Clarinet.

Woodwind Ensemble Bass Clarinet,E-Flat Clarinet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1045425 Composed by Edvard Grieg. Arranged by Mark R Lewis. Classical,Standards. 12 pages. Mark R Lewis #650001. Published by Mark R Lewis (A0.1045425). In the Hall of the Mountain King was originally written by Edvard Grieg as incidental music (basically background music) for a scene in Henrik Ibsen's play Peer Gynt. The truly distinctive sound has ensured that the piece has continued to be played and arranged for all sorts of groups in the almost century-and-a-half since the play was first performed. This particular arrangement by Mark R Lewis is for a Mixed Clarinet Quartet: 2 Bb clarinets, 1 alto clarinet, and 1 bass clarinet. The melody stays primarily in Clarinet 1 but does jump between the top three parts and players will need to be able to play most of the range of the instrument regardless of which part they are playing. That said, most intermediate players should be able to play this piece given they have the range and it will be a challenge for less experienced players. This arrangement also available for Bb Clarinet Quartet and the sound samples for this listing come from that arrangement. Range: A minor Clarinet 1 - 3+ octaves (B3 to D6) Clarinet 2 - 2 octaves (B3 to B5) Alto Clarinet - 2+ octaves (F#3 to A5) Bass Clarinet - 1 1/2 octaves (F#3 to D5).

She sings the famous Solveig's Song in Edvard Grieg's musical suite of the same name. Ibsen uses sun imagery in association with the character (scene 10, act 5), indicating that Ibsen may have favoured the idea that the name is etymologically associated with the sun.Arranged for Clarinet Quartet – three Bb Clarinets and a Bass Clarinet.
