Clarinet Quartet,Woodwind Ensemble Bass Clarinet,E-Flat Clarinet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1466770 Composed by Frédéric Chopin, Frederic Chopin. Arranged by Rob Bushnell. 19th Century,Classical,Romantic Period,Wedding. 14 pages. Rob Bushnell #1045303. Published by Rob Bushnell (A0.1466770). Written by Frédéric Chopin, the Waltz No. 13 (opus 70, no. 3) was written in 1829, whilst the composer was still living in Warsaw, Poland, and was published, posthumously, with two other waltzes in 1855.The trio section, the low melody that begins this part was said to be inspired by Chopin’s crush on the young singer, Konstancja G?adkowska. However, a letter (3 October 1829) to Tytus Woyciechowski, an early friend (and possibly lower) of Chopin’s, reads: “How sweet it would be for me to play it for you, dearest Tytus. In the trio, the bass line should dominate up to the high E-flat of the upper half of the keyboard in the 5th bar […]. Forgive me for sending you the waltz, which perhaps will make you angry at me, but upon my word I wanted to give you pleasure with it, because I love you madly.”This arrangement includes an alternative part for alto clarinet in E-flat. A recording of the original composition can be found here on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WBfbPlDM2k.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Clarinet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.786225 Composed by Giuseppe Verdi. Arranged by Bill Malcolm. Graduation,Romantic Period. 23 pages. Bill Malcolm #5954021. Published by Bill Malcolm (A0.786225). This arrangement captures all the melodic and harmonic elements of Verdi's march, but it is like reproducing Mt. Rushmore to a soap sculpture in one bar of soap. Much of the majesty is lost. It is, however, fun to play even lacking the horses, elephants, and a 140 voice chorus that appear on some stage productions. A descant B-flat clarinet is included that can be used in lieu of an E-flat clarinet.
