Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Clarinet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.743428 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Josef STASTNY. Classical,Holiday,Standards,Wedding. 6 pages. Josef STASTNY #3501709. Published by Josef STASTNY (A0.743428). The work was written sometime between 1785 and 1787. On 2 September 1788, Mozart entered it into his personal catalog of works as part of a set of ten canons. Although some of the canons in the set of ten have serious (that is, religious) lyrics, was meant for fun, a gesture of mocking, scatological humor directed at a friend of Mozart's, the baritone Johann Nepomuk Peyerl (1761–1800). Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Bass Clarinet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.764637 Composed by James Pybus. Contemporary,Contest,Festival. 21 pages. James Pybus #34119. Published by James Pybus (A0.764637). La Waltz Triste is an original composition playable by Clarinet Quartet (3 B flats plus Bass Clarinet). Performance time is 3:10. As the title would suggest, it has a rather sad and melancholic feel. Several events in my personal life of a tragic nature which occurred during the year it was written (2014) have subconsciously contributed to this feeling, including in May 2014 the loss of a friend and colleague, followed in September by the loss of my father-in-law. An ongoing health issue which began in April prevented me from playing and performing to the best of my ability. Thankfully this issue has resolved itself; there is a ray of hope for the future. Not wanting to wallow in self-pity, I look forward to more cheerful days ahead. Contact me at james.pybus56@gmail.com.
