Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Clarinet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.587997 By Ernie Field's Orchestra. By Joe Garland. Arranged by David McKeown. Jazz. 24 pages. David McKeown #5210859. Published by David McKeown (A0.587997). In the Mood was a huge hit for the Glenn Miller Orchestra in 1940, but the melody for In the Mood had been around in different versions with different bands for at least a decade before. But it was the Glenn Miller version that grabbed the public’s attention, becoming almost the soundtrack to the Second World War. In the Mood has never lost its appeal and has been recognised as culturally significant by the Library of Congress. In 1951 In the Mood became the first piece of music to be played by a computer. This arrangement of In the Mood is written with accessibility in mind. It is arranged for Clarinet Quartet or Choir; that is for three Bb Clarinets, plus Bass Clarinet. There is also an alternative part 3 for Alto Clarinet in Eb. This arrangement aims to deliver the big band sound with a smaller group. The solos from the original Glenn Miller recording are transcribed and notated in full, though players may prefer their own improvisations. This arrangement is ideal for smaller groups and combos looking to add this perennial favourite to their repertoire. The single pdf file you download contains both the full score and the individual parts. Performance time is around four minutes. The key, structure and overall feel is faithful to the original by the Glenn Miller Orchestra. There are many more top quality arrangements and compositions by David McKeown for you to browse at http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/david-mckeown/6203

Woodwind Ensemble - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.514821 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Kenneth Abeling. Baroque,Classical. 63 pages. LINCOLN MUSIC PUBLICATIONS #3629361. Published by LINCOLN MUSIC PUBLICATIONS (A0.514821). This is the complete Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 Johann Sebastian Bach transcribed for Clarinet Quartet by Kenneth Abeling. It has an optional organ part if so desired, but will work perfectly well without. Originally written for three violins three violas, three celli, double bass and continuo, this transcription despite its difficulty may actually be accessible to more advanced non-professional quartets. It for the most part lays well on all of the instrument and once continuous lines have been dispersed to allow for some breaks. A lead part solo has been created over the second movement Phrygian cadence that would have been originally improvised by the harpsichordist. Either the organist or another Instrument could improvise their own solo here if desired. Playing Time 13:00. To view and listen to this piece in its entirety as well as hundreds of other arrangements and transcriptions by Kenneth Abeling at the lowest prices available please visit www.lincolnmusicpublications.com  Preview this score on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQh18Hcn45g
