This Adagio comes from Louis Spohr's first string quartet.  The work is roughly 3:15.  A simple but effective movement,, this would work well at recitals, background music, and weddings.  An easy read for mature musicians.  The first part has an easier (young musician) version included as well.  this removes most ornaments and simplifies some rhythms.  The accompaniment parts already are basic, so with the modified first part this would be great for a young clarinet quartet!  Also a great piece to perform with a teacher and younger musicians.

This song is inspired by the modern instrumental music of Lucky Chops, Youngblood Brass Band etc. This is an arrangement for clarinet quartet that I've used with my students.

Hendrik Waelput (1845-1885) was a Belgian composer who was known as the Flemish Schubert.  This work, originally for four violas has been adapted for either 4 Bb clarinets or 3 Bb's and bass clarinet.  Performance time is roughly 2:40.  This work is suited for recitals, church services, and weddings.  It can be sightread by a group of experienced musicians, and is also appropriate for younger clarinetists.  The top 3 parts each have melodic material at various points so everyone can have fun!

Basin Street Blues written by Spencer Williams, first published in 1926 and made famous by a Louis Armstrong recording in 1928 is a Dixieland favorite. This arrangement for Clarinet Quartet features solo sections by all in the ensemble and a fun read for the professional Quartet while still being accessible to younger or less experienced musicians. This is the 3rd movement from Spohr's String Quartet no. 13.  The piece has 2 main sections with a fun trio section.  It has been adapted for clarinet quartet and some cuts have been made.  performance time is about 3:15.  A great work for a mature group to put together quickly for a reception, wedding, or recital.  Also appropriate for younger musicians with some technical abilities.  Bass clarinet has some optional low D notes but not required.  A great way to introduce Spohr to audiences and musicians alike!
