Wiegenlied (Lullaby,Berceuse, Cradle Song), Op. 49, No. 4, is a song for voice and piano by Johannes Brahms which was first published in 1868.in a set of 5 pieces for voice and piano. It is one of the composer's most famous pieces.Sometimes known as Guten Abend, gut' Nacht, (Good evening, good night) which are the first words of the song.Brahms based the music of his Wiegenlied partially on S'Is Anderscht, a duet by Alexander Baumann published in the 1840s. An arrangement for clarinet quintet of  3 of Satie's most popular pieces of music: The Gymnopédies No.1 is the best known.My arrangement differs from most other arrangements that you may find, in that the melody is given to every player, the bass line moves between the three lower clarinets, and the five members of the quintet do not play together all of the time. This, I feel gives a bit of variation and interest to the players!! It is scored for Eb, 2 Bb, alto and bass clarinets (using this instrumentation will give some variation in tone colour  to the melody line) I have also provided Bb parts for the Eb and alto.   Please check out  the rest of my Satie arrangements for varying instrument combinations : 3 Gymnopédies and 3 Gnossiennes. Satie wrote it without bar lines: I have added dashed ones to aid performance. The melody moves around the instruments,and I have varied the accompaniment giving the bass to the three lower clarinets. The expression marks are my own. Satie marks the piece p throughout, with some cresc/dim. My arrangement differs from many others, in that the melody is NOT given to one instrument throughout. More interesting for the players! The piece is in Satie's original key. Alternative Bb parts provided for Eb clt. and alto clt.

The Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major, K. 467, was completed on 9 March 1785 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, four weeks after the completion of the previous D minor concerto, K. 466 The famous Andante is in the subdominant key of F major It was featured in the 1967 Swedish film Elvira Madigan. As a result, the piece has become widely known as the Elvira Madigan concerto. Neil Diamond's 1972 song Song Sung Blue was based on a theme from the andante movement of the concerto.
