Saxophone Quartet,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.764693 Composed by Giacomo Puccini (1858-1924). Arranged by James Pybus. Contest,Festival,Opera,Romantic Period,Wedding. 11 pages. James Pybus #4359253. Published by James Pybus (A0.764693). Un bel dì (One Fine Day) is sung in Act 2 of Puccini's famous 1898 opera Madama Butterfly. In this, the opera's most famous aria (and one of the most popular works in the soprano repertoire, which many critics agree Maria Callas owned), Butterfly says that one beautiful day, they will see a puff of smoke on the far horizon. Then a ship will appear and enter the harbour. She will not go down to meet him but will wait on the hill for him to come. After a long time, she will see in the far distance a man beginning the walk out of the city and up the hill. When he arrives, he will call Butterfly from a distance, but she will not answer, partly for fun and partly not to die from the excitement of the first meeting. Then he will speak the names he used to call her: Little one. Dear wife. Orange blossom. Butterfly promises Suzuki that this will happen. Suzuki departs, as Sharpless and Goro arrive in the garden. This arrangement is playable by either SATB or AATB Saxophone Quartet. The duration is ca. 4:05. Arranged by James Pybus. Contest,Festival,Pop,Singer/Songwriter,Standards. 54 pages. James Pybus #708289. Published by James Pybus (A0.1105045). Édith Piaf, also known as “The Little Sparrow,†rose to international stardom in the late 1930s as a symbol of French passion and tenacity. Of Piaf’s many ballads, La Vie en Rose, which she wrote, is remembered as her signature song. Other favorites among the singer's repertoire include Milord, Padam Padam, Mon Dieu, the charming Mon Manège à Moi and the anthemic Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien. Having a life beset by addictions and related health issues, Piaf died in France in 1963 at the age of 47. She continues to be revered as a national treasure. This arrangement for SATB Saxophone Quartet is a medley of some of Piaf's most well-known songs and may be performed in its entirety, or each song may be played individually. If you choose the latter option do not play the transition measures between songs. In order, the songs are La Vie en rose (Take Me To Your Heart Again), Piaf’s signature song; Milord (or Ombre de la Rue [Shadow of the Street]); Sous le ciel de Paris; Padam, padam and Non, je ne regrette rien (No, I do not regret anything). This arrangement is suitable for a wide variety of performance and concert settings. The duration is 10:02. Contact me at james.pybus56@gmail.com.

Small Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Drum Set,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.734611 Composed by Eliot Daniel. Arranged by Dennis Ruello. Contemporary. Score and parts. 10 pages. Chicory Music #6669321. Published by Chicory Music (A0.734611). On October 15, 1951, the very first episode of the I Love Lucy show aired on CBS and became the most watched TV show in the U.S. for four of its seven-year run. Fun trivia about the opening theme song is that during the first season the show opened with their sponsor Philip Morris’ animation of stick figure cartoons of Lucy and Desi climbing down a pack of Philip Morris cigarettes. It was scored with Ferde Grofé’s Jr. The Grand Canyon Suite theme (a composition from 1931).From the second season onwards, the I Love Lucy signature tune we all know so well became the main theme, and one of the most recognizable pieces of music on the planet. It was written by composer Eliot Daniel who cranked it out in an afternoon as a favor to his old Coast Guard buddy Jess Oppenheimer, the show’s producer. Since Daniel still had another year under his exclusive contract to Fox, he asked Oppenheimer to keep his name out of it. Consequently his name does not appear on first or the second season TV credits for what became one of the most popular TV themes. Later, Daniel did seek credit and received royalties from syndicated reruns for the rest of his life. The lyrics were written by Harold Adamson for an episode in the third season in which Lucy believes everyone has forgotten her birthday. So of course Ricky saves the day after a near disaster. This arrangement for sax quartet (SATB) plus optional Acoustic Bass and Drum Set parts remains faithful to the original. The Soprano Sax part may be played by clarinet if no soprano sax player or instrument is available.Performance Time Approx. 1 minute 25 seconds
