Saxophone Quartet,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1415443 Composed by Dennis Wilson. Arranged by Trevor Wharton. 20th Century,Comedy,Film/TV. 23 pages. Bumpmusic Editions #997179. Published by Bumpmusic Editions (A0.1415443). The BBC sitcom 'Fawlty Towers', written and starring John Cleese and Connie Booth and set in a sea-side hotel in Torquay featured a cast of misfit stereotypes, boiuncing from one disaster to another. To introduce this Dennis Wilson (1920 - 1989) produced a gentle 'Palm Court Orchestra' theme for string quartet, echoing Beethoven and Boccherini and even Mozart's  Diverimento for two horns and sting quartet (K522) otherwise known as 'The Musical Joke'. The main theme leads to a much faster 6/8 section in which the melody is varied and distorted melodically and harmonically before the main theme reoccurs. The music concludes with a rather forced coda. This arrangement is for Saxophone Quartet , Soprano Sax, Alto Sax, Tenor Sax and Baritone Sax. A version is also available for mixed woodwind ensemble.

Arranged by Jeff Tincher. Pop,Rock. 25 pages. Jeff Tincher #6662291. Published by Jeff Tincher (A0.586254). Here is one of the biggest hits for Styx that actually destroyed their fan base. In the original key from their Kilroy Was Here LP, the song and the LP reached #3 in the U.S. What destroyed Styx fan base was that they wanted to see Styx in concert perform their hits. But Dennis DeYoung decided to make their tour more of a broadway show, using both live instruments and backing tracks. The fan base revolted and Styx never regained their stardom, even though they still tour. This is the complete album track. Duration = 5:32. Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.734378 Composed by Haitian Folk Song. Arranged by Dennis Ruello. Folk,Jazz,Latin. 16 pages. Chicory Music #3532765. Published by Chicory Music (A0.734378). One of Oswald Durand's most famous works, the 1883 Choucoune (Yellow Bird) is a lyrical poem that praises the beauty of a Haitian woman of that nickname. Michel Mauléart Monton, an American-born pianist with a Haitian father and American mother composed music for the poem in 1893, appropriating some French and Caribbean fragments to create his tune. The song Choucoune was first performed in Port-au-Prince on 14 May , 1893. It became a popular méringue lente (slow méringue) in Haiti, and was played prominently during the bicentennial celebrations in Port-au-Prince in 1949. Choucoune was recorded by Katherine Dunham and her Ensemble for the Decca album Afro-Caribbean Songs and Rhythms released in 1946 (with the title spelled as Choucounne), and was first recorded in Haiti by Emerante (Emy) de Pradines for her Voodoo - Authentic Music of Haiti album (Remington R-199-151) released in the USA in 1953.The song also appeared in the 1957 Calypso-exploitation film Calypso Heat Wave, performed by The Tarriers, sung by the group's lead singer, Alan Arkin. This arrangement of Yellow Bird includes: Full Score, 1st and 2nd Alto Sax, 1st and 2nd Tenor Sax (2nd Tenor Opt.) , Baritone Sax plus optional Acoustic Bass and Drum Set. Performance Time: Approx. 2 minutes 30 seconds

Small Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Drum Set,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.734611 Composed by Eliot Daniel. Arranged by Dennis Ruello. Contemporary. Score and parts. 10 pages. Chicory Music #6669321. Published by Chicory Music (A0.734611). On October 15, 1951, the very first episode of the I Love Lucy show aired on CBS and became the most watched TV show in the U.S. for four of its seven-year run. Fun trivia about the opening theme song is that during the first season the show opened with their sponsor Philip Morris’ animation of stick figure cartoons of Lucy and Desi climbing down a pack of Philip Morris cigarettes. It was scored with Ferde Grofé’s Jr. The Grand Canyon Suite theme (a composition from 1931).From the second season onwards, the I Love Lucy signature tune we all know so well became the main theme, and one of the most recognizable pieces of music on the planet. It was written by composer Eliot Daniel who cranked it out in an afternoon as a favor to his old Coast Guard buddy Jess Oppenheimer, the show’s producer. Since Daniel still had another year under his exclusive contract to Fox, he asked Oppenheimer to keep his name out of it. Consequently his name does not appear on first or the second season TV credits for what became one of the most popular TV themes. Later, Daniel did seek credit and received royalties from syndicated reruns for the rest of his life. The lyrics were written by Harold Adamson for an episode in the third season in which Lucy believes everyone has forgotten her birthday. So of course Ricky saves the day after a near disaster. This arrangement for sax quartet (SATB) plus optional Acoustic Bass and Drum Set parts remains faithful to the original. The Soprano Sax part may be played by clarinet if no soprano sax player or instrument is available.Performance Time Approx. 1 minute 25 seconds
