Scored for two Altos, Tenor and Baritone saxes, there are alternative parts three and four so that it can be played by four Altos. Immediate success followed in both London and in America, and it was later adapted as a Ballet. There have been many subsequent arrangements of different elements of the Score that invariably include the ’molto sentimento’ Waltz, itself.
