Published by Nigel Hanley Music (A0.1156443). This chart is a 7-pc swing arrangement of 'Why Don't You Do Right'. It is based on a version recorded by Peggy Lee in 1942. Singer Lil Green recorded a popular rendition in 1941, which Peggy Lee recorded the next year — accompanied by Benny Goodman — and made one of her signature songs. The instrumentation is: Piano Bass Drums Guitar Trumpet Tenor Sax Trombone Other keys, instrumentation, and a backing track are available on request: info@nigelhanley.com The complete backing track can be downloaded at www.nigelhanleymusic.com Suitable for: rock band with horns, little big band, funk band with horns, cover band with horns, cruise ship bands, high school & college bands, cabaret bands & cabaret artists

Jazz Combo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1026124 Composed by Lyndon Smith. Jazz,Latin. Score and parts. 2 pages. Lyndon Smith Jr. #5869123. Published by Lyndon Smith Jr. (A0.1026124). This is a lead sheet for an original bossa nova/jazz piece. The title, Não Sei Porque (I Don't Know Why...), is a nod to the Brazilian origins of the bossa nova style. The translation of said title is in parentheses. The piece is intended to be performed at approximately 135 bpm. It's a lively piece that can be performed in and arranged for any context in which you might perform any jazz standard. A variety of ensembles from high school to professional levels could perform it to a very warm reception. The audio file is my attempt at a standard big band arrangement. It was done in Finale 25 with instruments from Garritan's JABB 3 software. The interlude section is intended to be played after every solo in a manner similar to the way A Night in Tunisia is sometimes played. This isn't required of course. It's jazz! Improvise!
