The aria is best known as Bist du bei mir BWV 508, a version for voice and continuo found in the Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach hence why this beautiful aria is often attributed to J.S. Bach. The music has been scored for wind quintet (flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, bassoon) and maintains its baroque aria feel within the sonic textures of the wind quintet.
