Ā An important jazz pianist and composer, Johnson was a major influence on Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Art Tatum, Thelonious Monk, and Fats Waller. Ā Arranged for a traditional woodwind quintet of flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, and bassoon, with alternate parts clarinet in B-flat substitute for oboe, alto saxophone in E-flat substitute for horn, and bass clarinet in B-flat substitute for bassoon the arrangement retains the style of the day that has enticed audiences for decades.
