B-Flat Bass Clarinet,B-Flat Clarinet,Bassoon,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1126331 Composed by Manuel de Falla. Arranged by Philip Le Bas. 20th Century,Chamber,Classical. 139 pages. Philip Le Bas #727035. Published by Philip Le Bas (A0.1126331). Manuel De Falla’s two suites of dances from the ballet “The Three-Cornered Hat†(El sombrero de tres picos) contain the most quintessentially Spanish of all orchestral dances ever written, demanding a large orchestra (and singer.) Philip Le Bas has here arranged a short “mini-suite†of four movements for wind sextet: flute, oboe/cor anglais. clarinet, bass clarinet, french horn, and bassoon. All the major characters of the ballet are represented in the movements chosen, including the pompous, disreputable, and rather tipsy town mayor (played by the bassoon briefly in the third movement), the neighbours (who ultimately see justice done, tossing the mayor up and down on a blanket), and of course the dashing Miller and his electrifying wife! 1. Neighbours' Dance (Seguidillas) 2. Miller’s Dance (Farruca) 3. Afternoon (La Tarde) 4. Dance of the Miller’s Wife (Fandango).

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1372535 Composed by Claude Debussy. Arranged by Ray Thompson. 19th Century,Romantic Period. 11 pages. RayThompsonMusic #956846. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1372535). Debussy: Danse bohémienne La Danse bohémienne (Bohemian Dance) is a piano piece composed in the late summer of 1880. This is the composer's first published piano work. It was judged by Tchaikovsky as follows...It's really a very nice thing, though really too short; not one thought is expressed through to the end and the form is extremely messy and devoid of wholeness ...  It was written when he was eighteen years old for Nadejda von Meck, Tchaikovsky's rich and generous patroness. Frank Dawes writes of the Danse bohémienne, there is perhaps a mild gipsiness that may have been picked up from the gipsy singers at the Moscow cabarets that Debussy is reputed to have frequented. In texture the piece has something of the salon style of Tchaikovsky, though very much simplified. This straightforward piece, in B minor and 2/4 time, isn't altogether without a few dashes of polka rhythm, but its only notable point of originality comes in the coda, where a tonic chord over a submediant pedal point highlights the interval of a major seventh, possible slightly Russian in character. The score was first published in 1932 by Schott (Maintence), then by Henle (1991, ed. Ernst-Günter Heinemann) and Durand (2000, ed. Roy Howat)It is arranged for standard wind quintet.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.553915 Composed by Claude Debussy. Arranged by Ray Thompson. 20th Century,Wedding. 12 pages. RayThompsonMusic #6103441. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.553915). La plus que lente, L. 121 The more than slow), is a waltz for solo piano written by Claude Debussy in 1910, shortly after his publication of the Préludes, Book I.The piece debuted at the New Carlton Hotel in Paris, where it was transcribed for strings and performed by the popular 'gipsy' violinist, Léoni, for whom Debussy wrote it (and who was given the manuscript by the composer).Despite its title, La plus que lente was not meant to be played slowly; lente, in this context, refers to the valse lente genre that Debussy attempted to emulate.Typical of Debussy's caustic approach to naming his compositions, it represented his reaction to the vast influence of the slow waltz in France's social atmospheres. However, as Frank Howes noted, La plus que lente is, in Debussy's wryly humorous way, the valse lente [slow waltz] to outdo all others. The work is marked Molto rubato con morbidezza, indicating Debussy's encouragement of a flexible tempo.Arranged for standard wind quintet.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.745736 By Traditional. By John Newton, William Walker. Arranged by John Skillman. Classical,Praise & Worship,Sacred,Spiritual,Traditional. 12 pages. John Curtis Music #353657. Published by John Curtis Music (A0.745736). English clergyman John Newton wrote the words to Amazing Grace in 1772, but it wasn't until 1835 that composer William Walker set it to an old English tune called New Britain. That particular marriage of words and melody struck at something fundamental in the American psyche, and has since remained immensely popular. This arrangement uses the simple pentatonic melody of New Britain as positive space, then proceeds through a series of modulations and transitional harmonies to explore all the negative space. #woodwindquintet #chambermusic #hymns #traditional #spiritual.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.945719 By The Beatles. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Paul Kirk. Rock. 13 pages. Paul Stephen Kirk #6319999. Published by Paul Stephen Kirk (A0.945719). Strawberry Fields Forever is a song by the English rock band the Beatles, written by John Lennon and credited to Lennon–McCartney. It was released on 13 February 1967 as a double A-side single with Penny Lane. It represented a departure from the group's previous singles and a novel listening experience for the contemporary pop audience. While the song initially divided and confused music critics and the group's fans, it proved highly influential on the emerging psychedelic genre. Its accompanying promotional film is similarly recognised as a pioneering work in the medium of music video. Lennon based the song on his childhood memories of playing in the garden of Strawberry Field, a Salvation Army children's home in Liverpool. This arrangement provides a relatively simple version of this song with melodies and harmonies being passed around the ensemble.   This arrangement also includes an optional Drum Kit part.

Arranged by Ray Thompson. 21st Century,Chamber,Pop. 11 pages. RayThompsonMusic #1009977. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1429221). Now and Then is a song by the English rock band the Beatles, released on 2 November 2023. Dubbed the last Beatles song, it appeared on a double A-side single, paired with a new stereo remix of the band's first single, Love Me Do (1962), with the two serving as bookends to the band's history. Now and Then is a psychedelic soft rock balladthat John Lennon wrote and recorded around 1977 as a solo home demo but left unfinished. After Lennon's death in 1980, the song was considered as a potential third Beatles reunion single for their 1995–1996 retrospective project The Beatles Anthology, following Free as a Bird and Real Love, both based on two other Lennon demos of the same names.Instead, it was shelved for nearly three decades, until it was completed by his surviving bandmates Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, using overdubs and guitar tracks by George Harrison (who died in 2001) from the abandoned 1995 sessions.Arranged here for wind quintet, the oboe takes most of the melody
