The movements are as follows: Moderato in C major Andantino in A♭ major Allegro moderato in F minor (ends in F major) (This One) Moderato in C♯ minor Allegro vivace in F minor (ends in F major) Allegretto in A♭ major (ends on an open octave in an A♭ minor context) Along with the Impromptus, they are among the most frequently played of all Schubert's piano music, and have been recorded many times. The correct French forms are now usually used – moments (instead of momens), and musicaux (instead of musicals). Alt titles are Moments Musicaux, Pensées musicales, Musical Moments.

Theme in Bb major, and two other sections in G minor and Bb mnor. The end of each minor section is noted Maggiore D.C. Rosamunde, Fürstin von Zypern (Rosamunde, Princess of Cyprus) is a play by Helmina von Chézy, which is primarily remembered for the incidental music which Franz Schubert composed for it. Music and play premiered in Vienna's Theater an der Wien on 20 December 1823 There are 10 pieces of incidental music, this is no 5. Entr'acte No. 3 in B♭ major (Andantino) is one of the two best-known pieces in the score. The main theme was used again in the Impromptu in B♭, Op. 142 (D 935), No. 3. Schubert used an almost identical theme in the second movement of his String Quartet in A minor, D 804. Natural Horn in A (alt Hn in F) Clarinet in A (alt Clt in Bb) The Trout Quintet (Forellenquintett) is the popular name for the Piano Quintet in A major, D. 667, by Franz Schubert. The piano quintet was composed in 1819, when he was 22 years old; it was not published, however, until 1829, a year after his death. Rather than the usual piano quintet lineup of piano and string quartet, the Trout Quintet is written for piano, violin, viola, cello and double bass. The composer Johann Hummel had rearranged his own Septet for the same instrumentation, and the Trout was actually written for a group of musicians coming together to play Hummel's work. This is mvt III, a lively presto. It suits the wind quintet.
