Your Mother Should Know is a song by the English rock band the Beatles from their 1967 EP and LP Magical Mystery Tour.

It was written by Paul McCartney and credited to Lennon–McCartney.
Titled after a line in the 1961 film A Taste of Honey, its lyrical premise centres on the history of hit songs across generations.
McCartney said he wrote it as a plea for generational understanding and respect for a mother's life experience.
In the Magical Mystery Tour television film, the song serves as a big production number in the style of a 1930s Hollywood musical. Some commentators view the sequence as cultural satire, as the Beatles are seen dancing and dressed in white evening tails. Your Mother Should Know is in the music hall style, further to McCartney's earlier composition When I'm Sixty-Four.
He first offered it as the Beatles' contribution to the Our World satellite broadcast in June 1967, but the band favoured John Lennon's All You Need Is Love for its social significance.

The initial sessions for the song took place at Chappell Recording Studios in London towards the end of August. The group were visited there by their manager, Brian Epstein, a visit that marked the last time he joined them in the studio before his death on 27 August.

The Fool on the Hill is a song by the English rock band the Beatles from their 1967 EP and album Magical Mystery Tour.

It was written and sung by Paul McCartney and credited to the Lennon–McCartney partnership. The lyrics describe the titular fool, a solitary figure who is not understood by others, but is actually wise.
McCartney said the idea for the song was inspired by the Dutch design collective the Fool, who derived their name from the tarot card of the same name, and possibly by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

The song's segment in the Magical Mystery Tour television film was shot separately from the rest of the film and without the other Beatles' knowledge. Accompanied by a professional cameraman, McCartney filmed the scene near Nice in France.
In 1968, Sérgio Mendes & Brasil '66 recorded a cover version of the song that reached the top ten in the US.
By the late 1970s, The Fool on the Hill was one of McCartney's most widely recorded ballads.
A solo demo and an outtake of the song were included on the Beatles' 1996 compilation album Anthology 2.

Arranged for standard wind quintet, the melody is taken first by the oboe, and then by the flute.

Interesting parts for horn, clarinet and bassoon.

The mp3 extract is of verse 2

This is a medley of the final 3 songs by the English rock band the Beatles from their 1969 album Abbey Road. Written by Paul McCartney and credited to Lennon–McCartney,it is the sixth song of the album's climactic B-side medley.

Golden Slumbers is followed by Carry That Weight and begins the progression that leads to the end of the album.(The End )The  songs were recorded together as a single piece, and  contain strings and brass arranged and scored by producer George Martin.

My arrangement gaves the melody mainly to the oboe.

I have omitted the 16 bars or so, of guitar riffs in the end

My MP3 extract is of the very end.

Golden Slumbers is also available as a stand alone piece.

The Beatles had many hits, including, Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds from their 1967 album, Sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. This arrangement for Wind Quintet is ideal for the intermediate ensemble. Opening with a dreamy lyrical lines the chorus soon evolves into a Baroque inspired chorus.

Now and Then is a song by the English rock band the Beatles, released on 2 November 2023. Dubbed the last Beatles song, it appeared on a double A-side single, paired with a new stereo remix of the band's first single, Love Me Do (1962), with the two serving as bookends to the band's history.

Now and Then is a psychedelic soft rock balladthat John Lennon wrote and recorded around 1977 as a solo home demo but left unfinished.

After Lennon's death in 1980, the song was considered as a potential third Beatles reunion single for their 1995–1996 retrospective project The Beatles Anthology, following Free as a Bird and Real Love, both based on two other Lennon demos of the same names.

Instead, it was shelved for nearly three decades, until it was completed by his surviving bandmates Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, using overdubs and guitar tracks by George Harrison (who died in 2001) from the abandoned 1995 sessions.

Arranged here for wind quintet, the oboe takes most of the melody
