Large Ensemble B-Flat Clarinet,Bassoon,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.553307 Composed by Franz Schubert. Arranged by Ray Thompson. Holiday,Romantic Period,Standards,Wedding. Score and parts. 41 pages. RayThompsonMusic #2038241. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.553307). Originally written for an octet of 3 wind: clt, Hn & Bsn, and 5 strings: 2 Vlns, viola, cello and bass, this is a tricky piece to arrange for a standard wind octet. I have left the three original wind parts mostly unchanged, with some additional notes as required. I have simplified the string parts in places, making them more playable by the wind player: I have not simply allocated the 5 string parts to the 5 wind players. The second horn part is used for the low sustained notes originally played by the double bass. I have had to utilize notes not in the horns harmonic series, unlike horn 1.

Sports et divertissements (Sports and Pastimes) is a cycle of 21 short piano pieces composed in 1914 by Erik Satie. The set consists of a prefatory chorale and 20 musical vignettes depicting various sports and leisure activities. First published in 1923, it has long been considered one of his finest achievements.Musically it represents the peak of Satie's humoristic piano suites (1912-1915), but stands apart from that series in its fusion of several different art forms. Sports originally appeared as a collector's album with illustrations by Charles Martin, accompanied by music, prose poetry and calligraphy. The latter three were provided by Satie in his exquisite handwritten scores, which were printed in facsimile. This is my arrangement for wind quintet of:8. Allez me chercher une voiture.A stern ostinato in the lower reaches of the piano summons up a wind-blown sea as it tosses about members of a yachting party.A pretty lady passenger is not amused by the rough weather. I'd rather do something else, she pouts. Go fetch me a car. The sea ostinato returns to end the piece.Arranged standard wind quintetCheck out my other Satie arrangements3 Gymnopédies and 3 Gnossiennes. Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1214466 Composed by Sy Brandon. 20th Century,Chamber,Contemporary. 78 pages. Sy Brandon #811453. Published by Sy Brandon (A0.1214466). Divertissement was composed during 2005 for the Cadence Music Ensemble and rewritten in 2010 for Bret Pimentel, a virtuoso performer on multiple woodwinds. This version was created in 2023 and is a showcase for members of the quintet. A divertissement is a multi-movement composition designed to divert, entertain or to amuse. There are six contrasting movements in this composition; Intrada (flute feature), Nocturne (Horn feature), Valse (bassoon feature), Marche (clarinet feature), Romanza (oboe feature), and Galop (spotlight on members of the ensemble). The Intrada is energetic and playful with a lot of interplay between instruments. The Nocturne, being a night piece, is both lyrical and mysterious. The Waltz is in a flowing waltz tempo with occasional shifts away from three beats in the measure. The Marche is not a piece that would be used in a parade. It is a march that exists in the mind of a child who is playing with toy soldiers; therefore there is playfulness and humor that would not occur in a functional march. Lyrical lines and expressiveness are the predominating features of the Romanza. The piece comes to a rousing close with the Galop, which is a “perpetual motion†type of movement with a lot of rhythmic variety.

You can also buy each one individually by checking right at the end of each description of each work.1: Air on the G String - The original piece is part of Johann Sebastian Bach's Suite No. 3 for orchestra, in D Major, BWV 1068, written for Prince Leopold of Anhalt. The so-called Air on the G String dates from one of these latter employments. In the service of the Prince of Cöthen, Bach composed not only the famous Brandenburg Concertos, but also several orchestral suites, from the third of which comes the Air on the G String. This curious title derives from a later arrangement of this piece for violin solo, in which the melody is played entirely on the lower, higher string of the instrument. ID: S0.11896992: Arioso - The Cantata 156 (BWV 156) was written for the third Sunday after Epiphany in 1729, and was first performed on January 23 of that year. The text is by Picander, one of Bach's favorite librettists. Of the four cantatas written by Bach for the feast, it was the last and only one scored for solo voice. This is a choral cantata, employing a choral melody in several movements. Cantata 156, in fact, employs two different choral melodies and texts in the second and sixth movements. A cantata is a sung symphony consisting of several parts, one of which is the Arioso, which is the initial instrumental part. ID: S0.11898993: Jesu, joy of man's desiring - This is one of Bach's most beautiful cantatas, made famous by the Jesus the Joy of Men chorus. It was originally composed for Advent 1716 in Weimar. Years later, already in Leipzig, Advent was tempus clausum, there was no music in the churches. Bach then reworked it for the Feast of Mary's Visitation. It is the final chorale of the cantata Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben. Although it is the 32nd cantata composed by Bach, of those that have survived, it was given BWV 147 in the complete catalog of his works. ID: S0.11900074: O Jesulein süss, o Jesulein mild - The Jesulein süß, the Jesulein mild is an original traditional German choral melody for voice and continuous bass arranged by Johann Sebastian Bach around 1735. With lyrics by Valentin Thilo, O Jesulein süss is a sacred melody adapted and catalogued as BWV 493. The first translation is by Dirk van Hogendorp, who made it more of a song for the time of suffering. ID: S0.11901035: Minuet in G major - This famous piece has traditionally been attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach, as it appears in the Notebook for Anna Magdalena , a notebook that Bach gave to his wife Anna Magdalena in 1725 and which was to be filled with the favorite selections of Bach family members. However, recent research has concluded that this minuet, sometimes referred to as BWV Anhang 114. was probably composed by Christian Petzold, a German composer and organist contemporary with Bach. ID: S0.1190269Bonuses: A Mighty Fortress is Our God, by Martin Luther - Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott is a hymn written by Martin Luther probably before 1529. The melody was also considered his work for a long time, but it was created at least with the collaboration of Johann Walter. The song is of great symbolic power for Protestantism; where it is also known a.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1126471 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ander. Classical,Folk,March,Opera,Romantic Period. 12 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #727146. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1126471). This arrangement adapted for woodwind quintet was written keeping the characteristics of the original work, in order to be performed by young music students who want to enter the symphonic music. Besides, it can also be used by professional musicians for recitals, repertoire, academic presentations and didactic material. The transcription remains faithful to the structure, with only one change in tone, so that it is comfortable for all the instruments in the formation, as well as being used as an activity in ensemble practice among musicians of different traditions. Beethoven's Turkish March (Op. 113) is the 4th movement of the operatic work: The Ruins of Athens, a set of incidental pieces written in 1812 by Ludwig van Beethoven, where the melody was originally written in 1809 as Theme with Six Variations for Piano, Op. 76. The work was written to accompany the play of the same name by August von Kotzebue, for the dedication of a new theater in Pest. Perhaps the best known part of the composition is the Marcia alla turca, In Latin America, this movement became known in Jean-Jacques Perrey's version (who titled it The Elephant never Forgets) since it was used as the opening theme of the successful Mexican TV comedy El Chavo del Ocho. The opening and the turkish march are often performed separately, and the other pieces in this set are not often heard.

Menuett No. 6 was originally  written for pianoforte.   Because of its caracter, It can work perfectly as an introduction piece or for a little surprise encore in the end of a concert.  It is also very easy to play, very appropriate for music students and beginners. And of course righten by no other than Mozart it is the perfect  piece for great artists and performers. The original score was written for the pianoforte. I did an arrangement for woodwind quintet and made an extent use of interpretation symbols like fortes and pianos, crescendos etc., wish where total absent in the original score.  I also had to shorten the length of some notes in order to facilitate the interpretation of the piece on woodwind instruments. Otherwise all the original notes are left unchanged.  The score was written on Finale.  The sound file, was performed with samplers from Garritan and conceived as an audio support for the presentation of the score. Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1127691 Composed by Antonin Dvorak. Arranged by Ray Thompson. Romantic Period,Spiritual. 16 pages. RayThompsonMusic #728293. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1127691). 2nd mvt Lento - Arranged wind quintet The String Quartet in F major, Op. 96, nicknamed the American Quartet, is the 12th string quartet composed by Antonín Dvořák. It was written in 1893, during Dvořák's time in the United States of America. The quartet is one of the most popular in the chamber music repertoire. For the London premiere of his New World symphony, Dvořák wrote: As to my opinion I think that the influence of this country (it means the folk songs)) is to be seen, and that this and all other works (written in America) differ very much from my other works as well as in colour as in character,. A characteristic, unifying element throughout the quartet is the use of the pentatonic scale. This scale gives the whole quartet its open, simple character, a character that is frequently identified with American folk music. However, the pentatonic scale is common in many ethnic musics worldwide, and Dvořák had composed pentatonic music, being familiar with such Slavonic folk music examples, before coming to America Specific American influences have been doubted: In fact the only American thing about the work is that it was written there, writes Paul Griffiths.[21] The specific American qualities of the so-called American Quartet are not easily identifiable, writes Lucy Miller, ...Better to look upon the subtitle as simply one assigned because of its composition during Dvořák's American tour. I have NOT simply copied the string parts across to the winds, as other have done. Rather, I have arranged the piece as though it had been written for wind quintet, so have given the horn repeated notes , in the same way as the slow movement of the slow movement Dvorak's wind serenade., and used the horn to sustain. Some of the arpeggio figures remain, but in a simplified form.and are shared between clarinet and bassoon.
