You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' is a song by Phil Spector, Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, first recorded in 1964 by the American vocal duo the Righteous Brothers, whose version was also produced by Spector and is cited by some music critics as the ultimate expression and illustration of his Wall of Sound recording technique. This is a woodwind quintet arrangement, by Joseph Pugh, of this 60's hit by the Righteous Brothers.

Salut d'Amour was composed by Edward Elgar in 1888, originally written for violin and piano.

At the time Elgar was romantically involved with the writer Caroline Alice Roberts (Carice). On their engagement she had already presented him with the poem The Wind at Dawn. In return, Elgar composed his Liebesgruss for her. A short masterpiece that later became famous under the French title Salut d'amour.

The beautiful, loving music is ideal for Valentine's Day, (romantic theme) concerts or as an intermezzo. But of course it should not be missing from any wedding playlist.

This delightful work for woodwind ensemble was composed in April 2023 by Andrew Wainwright as a tribute to Catherine Ramsdale, who was a member of the composer's church, and who passed away at the age of 88. The music is supposed to be evocative of Catherine's loving and caring spirit. Starting out in rather melancholy mood, the music moves into a more sprightly section to conclude the work.

This piece is actually my first film score. It accompanied an animation, but unfortunately, the original artist has made the animation no longer available. The story is still powerful, and the message is still just as relevant. Two young foster children, brother and sister, go from the sadness and fear of being without parents, to the joy of finding a home with a loving family, all while doing their best to hang onto hope and onto each other. For these two young children, I can only imagine it feeling like the end of the world, and not an experience they could possibly grow from. However, this story is a true story, and it is the animator's story. And look where she ended up! A student at the University of Michigan that has since gone on to work for major companies such as Nickelodeon and even NASA. As an artist, I respect her decision to not continue sharing her animation, and I am so unbelievably grateful and humbled to have had the honor of writing the score to her story when I had the chance.
