Es ist typische Spielmusik, die durch ihren zweistimmigen Satz eine instrumentale Bearbeitung gut möglich macht. Die Blockflöte als ein charakteristisches Instrument des Barock ist wie kein anderes Instrument geeignet, die verhaltene Melodik dieser wundervollen Weisen zum Ausdruck zu bringen. Die Stücke sind für zwei Instrumente im Quintabstand eingerichtet. Die obere Stimme ist für eine Sopranflöte c’’ gesetzt, klingt also eine Oktave höher als sie notiert ist, was durch die 8 über dem Violinschlüssel kenntlich gemacht wurde. Die untere Stimme ist in erster Linie für eine Altblockflöte f’ gesetzt, kann aber bei fast allen Stücken mühelos durch eine Tenorblockflöte c’ wiedergegeben werden.

Fans are generally encouraged to sing along, and at some ballparks, the words home team are replaced with the team name. This arrangement was developed from the original 1908 sheet music, but simplified so that someone of average ability can perform it and sound great doing so!
