Halloween is a 1978 American independent slasher film directed and scored by John Carpenter, co-written with producer Debra Hill, and starring Jamie Lee Curtis (in her film debut) and Donald Pleasence, with P. J. Soles and Nancy Kyes appearing in supporting roles. The plot centers around a mental patient, Michael Myers, who was committed to a sanitarium for murdering his babysitting teenage sister on Halloween night when he was six years old. Fifteen years later, he escapes and returns to his hometown, where he stalks a female babysitter and her friends, while under pursuit by his psychiatrist. Filming took place in Southern California in May 1978; the work premiered in October, whereupon it grossed $70 million, becoming one of the most profitable independent films of all time. Primarily praised for Carpenter's direction and score, many critics credit the film as the first in a long line of slasher films inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960), and Bob Clark's Black Christmas (1974). It is considered one of the greatest and most influential horror films ever made. In 2006, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant. Halloween spawned a film franchise comprising thirteen films which helped construct an extensive backstory for its antagonist Michael Myers, sometimes narratively diverging entirely from previous installments. A direct sequel of the film was released in 1981. A remake was released in 2007, which was followed by a sequel in 2009. An eleventh installment, which serves as a direct sequel to the original film that retcons all previous sequels, was released in 2018; this was followed by two direct sequels: Halloween Kills (2021) and the upcoming Halloween Ends (2022). Additionally, a novelization, a video game and comic book series have been based on the film.

Si Jag (Korean: 시작) or also translated as Start Over or Start, is a song by South Korean singer Kang Dae-ho (Korean: 강대호), better known by his stage name, Gaho. This song was released as a single on the second part of the Itaewon Class soundtrack. This song is written by Sung Il Park, Dong Sung Seo, and Sam Han.

This transcription is written in concert key based on the single version and includes vocal melody, lyrics in Korean & romanised version, and chord symbols. This song is in the key of E major and is about 3’20 long. The tempo of the music starts at 108 bpm, gradually going up, and end at 110 bpm. This score is suitable for an early-intermediate player as it involved many semiquaver/16th note offbeats, which can be quite challenging for some readers and players.

Composer Notes

HiJinx! was commissioned by clarinetist Peter Wright in the spring of 2013. It is a mostly humorous piece aimed at entertaining the audience and the members of the orchestra. I also intended it to be a suitable companion to the Rossini Introduction, Theme and Variations, also featured on the Jacksonville Symphony's 2014-15 season opener. Keenly aware of Peter's fine soloistic abilities I approached organization of the work around quotations from well known clarinet solos. The work was composed between December and March with Peter's mischievous personality constantly in mind, thus the inclusion of random quotations from opera, chamber music and popular song.

The piece starts with a soft calming piano rendition of the tune which is rudely interrupted by a loud and swinging arrangement. Arranged for 4 piece horn section (trumpet, alto, tenor, baritone) with optional additions of trombone, flute and clarinet. Written with amateur or high school players in mind, ranges are kept within reasonable limits. The second clarinet part is suitable for players that are not yet comfortable with the upper register. There are two options of drum parts: one written and one just featuring rhythm slashes.
