Large Ensemble Choir - Level 2 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.995827

Composed by Leontovych Mykola. Arranged by Yury Ilinov. Christmas. Score and parts. 38 pages. Yury Ilinov #4982653. Published by Yury Ilinov (A0.995827).

This is a very easy to play arrangement of one of the most popular Christmas Carols for full symphony orchestra (with only 2 horns and 1 trombone), which could be easily played by a youth or even children's orchestra.
What is also special, is that I have added the text in the Ukranian language, so that more audiences could get acquainted with the original sound of the carol. We performed one verse in English, and the other in the Ukranian. For this the same text comes two times, with a little bit different choral arrangement.
Please see that there are two variants of the choral part: just with the English text and with the Ukranian (a little bit overpopulated with syllables).
If there is need, I would readily make a version with the two verses in the Ukranian and a translation.

Violin Duet Violin - Level 2 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.1098419

Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Wendy Loder, ASCAP. Chamber,Christmas,Holiday,Instructional,Traditional. 4 pages. LarkAngel Productions #702283. Published by LarkAngel Productions (A0.1098419).

Four traditional Christmas Carols (We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Ukranian Bell Carol, What Child is This (Greensleeves), and We Three Kings are arranged here for 2 violins. I arranged these to play with students, so the 2nd part is more complex while the 1st violin part mainly gets the melody. We Wish You a Merry Christmas is arranged as a Canon so it's a great teaching piece with more equal parts. Most of the melodies stay in first position. Any of the songs can be played separately, but I called it a medley because the keys of each song go well together!

SKU: A0.765064

Composed by Mykola Leontovich. Arranged by Lori Archer Sutherland. Christmas,Folk,Holiday,Multicultural,World. Score and part. 6 pages. Lori Archer Sutherland #5853791. Published by Lori Archer Sutherland (A0.765064).

For Eb clarinet and piano

Originally derived from a Ukranian folk tune, Mykola Leontovich composed Shchedryk for choir in 1916. It depicts a swallow arriving to tell the household of the arrival of spring and good fortune for the next year. The original folk song was often sung as a well-wishing song at the new year (January 13th on the Julian calendar). The song is often referred to as the Ukranian Bell Carol.

After the song was performed in the United States in 1921, a prominent choir director wrote new lyrics that reflected a Christmas scene, inspired by tones sounding like bells in the song. That version (Carol of the Bells) has remained popular in the U.S.
