His own piano transcriptions of the well-known Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor and the Fantasy and Fugue in g minor are neither mere incorporations of the pedal voice with its almost continous ostinato theme into the left hand of the piano part, nor purely virtuoso ornamentations of the original version.
