Thunderstruck is the lead single from the 1990 album The Razors Edge by Australian hard rock band AC/DC. It peaked at No. 5 on the US Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks. In 2010, Thunderstruck topped Triple M Melbourne's Ultimate 500 Rock Countdown in Australia. The top five were all AC/DC songs. Angus Young stated in the liner notes of the 2003 re-release of The Razors Edge: It started off from a little trick I had on guitar. I played it to Mal and he said 'Oh, I've got a good rhythm idea that will sit well in the back.' We built the song up from that. We fiddled about with it for a few months before everything fell into place. Lyrically, it was really just a case of finding a good title ... We came up with this thunder thing, based on our favourite childhood toy ThunderStreak, and it seemed to have a good ring to it. AC/DC = Power. That's the basic idea. The song has sold over a million digital copies since it became available for digital download and is one of the most recognisable in the bands' entire catalogue and it is a setlist staple having been performed at nearly all shows since its release.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (/ˈwÊŠlfɡæŋ æməˈdeɪəs ˈmoÊŠtsÉ‘Ërt/; moht-sart;[1] German: [ˈvÉ”lfÉ¡aÅ‹ amaˈdeËÊŠs ˈmoËtsaÊt]; 27 January 1756 – 5 December 1791), baptised asJohannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart,[2] was a prolific and influential composer of the Classical era.

Born in Salzburg, he showed prodigious ability from his earliest childhood. Already competent on keyboard and violin, he composed from the age of five and performed before European royalty. At 17, Mozart was engaged as a musician at the Salzburg court, but grew restless and traveled in search of a better position. While visiting Vienna in 1781, he was dismissed from his Salzburg position. He chose to stay in the capital, where he achieved fame but little financial security. During his final years in Vienna, he composed many of his best-known symphonies, concertos, and operas, and portions of the Requiem, which was largely unfinished at the time of his death.

The circumstances of his early death have been much mythologized. He was survived by his wife Constanze and two sons.

He composed more than 600 works, many acknowledged as pinnacles of symphonic, concertante, chamber, operatic, and choral music. He is among the most enduringly popular of classical composers, and his influence is profound on subsequent Western art music. Ludwig van Beethoven composed his own early works in the shadow of Mozart, and Joseph Haydn wrote: posterity will not see such a talent again in 100 years. Five short pieces for strings
inspired by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

At age 8 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart toured Europe with his father Leopold. He performed in many cities and presented as a wonder child. While travelling he composed, as always under the stern supervision of his father. During his stay in London (1764) he composed 33 short pieces, some of which he did not finish. The London Sketchbook (KV 151- 15ss) has been retained until today and is a brilliant display of Mozart’s talent as a young boy.

How would Mozart have composed, if he lived today? Or if he was not committed to the ridged rules of composition dictated by his father? What if he had more harmonic or rhythmic freedom? These adaptions may reflect how such pieces could have sounded.

Mozart was named at birth Joannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart. The name Amadeus was used later in his life.
