This is a swing tune lead sheet with lyrics, chord symbols and guitar fret boards, for a jazz ensemble with two voices, or for one voice and a singing instrument, or for two singing instruments. It serves as a good foundation for a variety of arrangements, contra facts, and improvisations.

The audio sample is a medium swing accompaniment from iReal Pro, combined with my tunes from Finale PrintMusic. You hear two melodies with the accompaniment -- a treble electric guitar, and a simulated baritone voice (without the words).

St. Matthew Blue portrays an unhappy person coping with the COVID 19 pandemic, which started early in the year 2020. It’s not a blues tune, however, so the word blue is in the title without the s.

St. Matthew Blue contains unusual harmonies inspired by J. S. Bach’s opening chorus to the St. Matthew Passion. This tune doesn't match the profundity and appeal of Bach's chorus, but the two 16-bar themes of St. Matthew Blue contain some of my favorite harmonic ideas from Bach’s work. This gives a depth to this piece that sets it apart from other swing tunes.

This arrangement of St. Louis Blues is written as performed by piano artist, Liberace.  He performed this on his t.v. show and record albums. 

The Saint Louis Blues (or St. Louis Blues) is a popular American song composed by W. C. Handy in the blues style and published in September 1914. It was one of the first blues songs to succeed as a pop song and remains a fundamental part of jazz musicians' repertoire. Benny Goodman, Louis Armstrong, Cab Calloway, Bing Crosby, Bessie Smith, Eartha Kitt, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Guy Lombardo, Liberace, and the Boston Pops Orchestra (under the directions of both Arthur Fiedler and Keith Lockhart) are among the artists who have recorded it.

At the height of his fame from the 1950s to 1970s, he was the highest-paid entertainer in the world!

This solo piano sonata, of moderate technical difficulty, is a completion of a fragment left unfinished by Beethoven sometime around 1798 and has the without opus catalog number WoO 51. The first movement is entirely by Beethoven and is scored with minor edits. The second movement was abandoned by Beethoven at m. 121, and the movement is completed here by St. Clair. The third movement, a rondo in the style of Beethoven, is completely by Richard St. Clair. (A very poor completion of the second movement was made by Ferdinand Ries, a pupil of Beethoven.)

St. Peter's Suite for Solo Cello was commissioned by cellist Myron Schwager. Dr. Schwager has been my music professor while I was an undergraduate. However, at the time he was on the faculty of Hartt College of Music in Hartford Connecticut. As a result, the premiere took place in Hartford in St.Peter's Catholic Church. Knowing this ahead of time, I found the hymn tune: ST PETER in my Presbyterian hymnal. (The words often used with this tune are In Christ There Is No East or West). In keeping with this hymn tune, I composed each movement using a section of the melody as a motive. This piece was very well received and has been performed subsequently.
I composed St. Peter's Suite for Solo Cello in 2001 and its duration is 13 minutes.
The four movements are:
I. Tango
II. Lament
III. Swing
IV. Chorale and Chaccone

St. Margaret and the Dragon provides a great addition to the repertoire of an advanced player, maintaining a tuneful effect while incorporating extended techniques such as quarter tones, timbre notes, multiphonics, whistling sounds, and indeterminate elements to sonically tell the story of St. Margaret of Antioch. The oboe part represents St. Margaret herself. The tape part recalls the church bells and sheepfolds of her youth, the marriage proposal of a Roman provost (contingent upon her denying Christ), and her subsequent captivity and victorious martyrdom resulting from her refusal to do so. Written in memory of Erich Fried (1921-1988), a writer who wrote the libretto for Goehr's opera Arden Must Die and whose poems were set in Warngedichte (op. 22), Carol for St Steven is a short and playful carol about St Steven as a servant boy in King Herod’s Hall. Seeing the Star and realising that Jesus has been born, the boy tells King Herod whose overreaction results in Steven being stoned to death (explaining why the Vigil of St Stephen takes place on Christmas Night). With a treble soloist singing the lines of Steven and a bass singing the parts of Herod, Goehr’s carol for St Steven is an alternative carol in many senses, but one that would be ideal for both amateur and professional choirs looking for new repertoire.
