The music is by Sonny Burke and the lyrics are by Peggy Lee. The song was performed in the film by George Givot, who also provided the voice of Tony. Peggy Lee recorded the song for herself for a 1955 Decca release with a choir and orchestra led by Victor Young. The song has also been recorded for a Disneyland album, sung by Bob Grabeau. Ronnie Hilton recorded the song, and Siw Malmkvist recorded the song in Swedish, releasing it on a record in February 1956.The song has also been recorded by Vikingarna on the 1979 album Vikingarnas julparty and Christer Sjögren himself on the 1994 Christmas album När ljusen ska tändas därhemma. Mark Salling, Kevin McHale, and Chord Overstreet recorded the song, and performed it on twenty-second episode and season two finale of Glee on May 24, 2011.

You Are So Beautiful is a song written by Billy Preston and Bruce Fisher that was first released in 1974 on Preston's ninth studio album, The Kids & Me. It was also the B-side of his single Struttin'. Later that same year, English singer Joe Cocker released a slower version of the song on his album I Can Stand a Little Rain. Cocker's version was produced by Jim Price, and released as a single in November 1974. It became Cocker's highest charting solo hit, peaking at number five on the United States' Billboard Hot 100 (Cocker's biggest hit on the pop chart was Up Where We Belong, a duet with Jennifer Warnes from the 1982 film An Officer And A Gentleman, which reached number 1), and at number four on Canada's Top Singles chart. The screenplay by William Roberts is a remake – in an Old West–style – of Akira Kurosawa's 1954 Japanese film Seven Samurai (itself initially released in the United States as The Magnificent Seven). The ensemble cast includes Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, Robert Vaughn, Brad Dexter, James Coburn, and Horst Buchholz as a group of seven gunfighters, and Eli Wallach as their main antagonist. The seven title characters are hired to protect a small village in Mexico from a group of marauding bandits, led by Wallach. The film was released by United Artists on October 12, 1960.
