Surfer Girl is a song by American rock band the Beach Boys from their 1963 album Surfer Girl. Written and sung by Brian Wilson, it was released as a single, backed with Little Deuce Coupe, on July 22, 1963. The single was the first Beach Boys record to have Brian Wilson officially credited as the producer.
The song was based on a Dion and the Belmonts version of When You Wish Upon a Star, which has the same AABA form.
[Verse 1]
Little surfer, little one
Made my heart come all undone
[Chorus]
Do you love me, do you, surfer girl?
(Surfer girl, my little surfer girl)
[Verse 2]
I have watched you on the shore
Standing by the ocean's roar
[Chorus]
Do you love me, do you, surfer girl?
(Surfer girl, surfer girl)
[Bridge]
We could ride the surf together
While our love would grow
In my Woody I would take you everywhere I go
[Verse 3]
So I say from me to you
I will make your dreams come true
[Chorus]
Do you love me, do you, surfer girl?
Surfer girl, my little surfer girl
[Outro]
Little one (Girl, surfer girl, my little surfer girl)
Little one (Girl, surfer girl, my little surfer girl)
Little one (Girl, surfer girl, my little surfer girl).
