Piano Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.1296630 Composed by Dr. Deborah Rambo Sinn, Author. Traditional. Score. 276 pages. Deborah Rambo Sinn at The Underground Conservatory #886807. Published by Deborah Rambo Sinn at The Underground Conservatory (A0.1296630). Finally, a piano skills book that you don't have to lug around! This 260+ page book fits on your phone or tablet and can be opened in any PDF reader, like Adobe Acrobat or forScore. Pocket Piano Proficiency: a revolutionary way to learn the skills you need offers basic piano skills in a new way. Author and veteran piano instructor Deborah Rambo Sinn wanted to find a solution for getting students to learn these solidly and efficiently–along with finding a way to combine this with developing excellent aural skills. Ultimately, she sought a way to quickly make these skills relevant to understanding larger concepts of music theory. Traditionally, it takes a long time of learning individual skills before a student can grasp how they all work together. Pocket Piano Proficiency flips this model, introducing tasks in chunks of like material. The circle of fifths appears from the first pages, demonstrating connections between keys from the start. The book’s pedagogical organization moves students from the easiest to more complex skills, allowing them to scaffold successfully from one chapter to the next. The eBook format allows for a new way of learning these skills that a black and white printed book does not afford. Each page contains several layers of helpful material that can be accessed by zooming in and out. Because only one level of information can be accessed at a time, students need to assimilate information from around the page to successfully complete each task (see video.) Additionally, the use of color cues for tasks further organizes each chapter. As an example, red is used for the simplest keys or most common concepts. Additionally, the use of color cues for tasks further organizes each chapter. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.1450517). The pdf file contains the score and separate violin part.Based on the old Scottish ballad Gilderoy, about a handsome highwayman who was eventually betrayed by his mistress. The last, the dreaded hour is come,That bears my love from me:I hear the dead note of the drum,I mark the fatal tree. The bell has toll'd; it shakes my heart; The trumpet speaks thy name:And must my Gilderoy depart,To bear a death of shame! No bosom trembles for thy doom;No mourner wipes a tear; The gallows' foot is all they tomb,The sledge is all thy bier.Oh Gilderoy! I bethought we thenSo soon, so sad to part,When first in Roslin's lovely glenYou triumph'd o'er my heart?Your locks they glitter'd to the sheen,Your hunter garb was trim; And graceful was the ribbon green,That bound your many limb!Ah! little thought I to deploreThose limbs in fetters bound;Or hear, upon the scaffold floor,The midnight hammer sound.Ye cruel, cruel, that combinedThe guiltless to pursue; My Gilderoy was ever kind,He could not injure you!A long adieu! but where shall flyThy widow all forlorn,When ev'ry mean and cruel eyeRegards my wo with scorn?Yes! they will mock thy widow's tears,And hate thine orphan boy;Alas! his infant beauty wearsThe form of Gilderoy. Then will I seek the dreary moundThat wraps thy mouldering clay,And weep and linger on the ground,And sigh my heart away.

String Ensemble,String Trio Cello,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.961701 Arranged by Gary Arrington. Celtic,Folk. Score and parts. 4 pages. Gary Hobart Arrington #6063387. Published by Gary Hobart Arrington (A0.961701). The story of the song is largely true. James MacPherson was an outlaw in the North East of Scotland, one of the travelling people and the leader of a band of robbers. MacPherson was caught in Keith and hanged at the Cross of Banff on 16 November 1700. MacPherson was a fine fiddler, and he composed this tune the night before he was hanged and played it on the scaffold. Then he offered to give his fiddle to anyone who would play the tune at his wake. No-one would, so he smashed the fiddle. Anyone who had accepted it would have shown themselves to be a relative or friend of his and so liable to arrest themselves. The song is also known as 'MacPherson's Farewell'. Robert Burns rewrote the song, but these are the traditional lyrics. The tune is very popular amongst Scottish fiddlers. The pieces of MacPherson’s fiddle are displayed in the MacPherson Clan House Museum in Newtonmore.
