Brass Ensemble,Brass Quintet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1512009 Composed by Robert Schumann. Arranged by Bud Caputo. 20th Century,Instructional,Romantic Period. 10 pages. Bud Caputo #1087079. Published by Bud Caputo (A0.1512009). Träumerei is a part of Schumann's Scene from Childhood, which was his first attempt at writing for piano solo. The Dreaming piece itself was the seventh in the set and was written as a tribute to his four-year-old daughter Marie. The composition was published on the 27th of December 1838 with Schumann's Kinderscenen, Op. 15 (Scenes from Childhood) as its title. The title was given by the composer himself and it echo's his longing for his childhood and for the innocence of his children. It should be performed with a great deal of (rubato (give and take) of the phrasing and tempo, which will challenge students to watch their conductor very carefully. A Trombone Sub for Horn in F part is included. The string orchestra version is identical to the brass version and may be heard on YouTube .Click this link.
