The Theme from Elmo's World has been arranged for Trumpet Ensemble.  Playable with a minimum of 6 players, 7 is recommended.  Parts are Trumpet 1-5 and recommended 2 Fluegelhorn (or Trumpets) playing the bass line.  All notes are in standard trumpet ranges for Grade 3.5.  Some independence on moving lines is necessary.  Also required are Harmon Mute for Player 1,  Cup Mute and plunger for Player 2, Straight Mute and Plunger for Player 3, and Straight Mutes for Player 4-5.  Flugelhorn parts do not require mutes.  This piece would be a great addition to a children's concert.  Grade 4.

I called it the surprise theme because I arranged this piece as a way to prank my bands by giving them this music and watching them figure out what the song was as they played just to see their reaction to playing Elmo's World. Now you know the backstory, the melody goes between all instruments at some point, so it is an inclusive piece with all the nostalgia.

St.Elmo is an original Military March for Brass Band/Marching Band. The title is the name of a fortress in the capital of Malta and was built during the Baroque period. It was used to protect the Maltese from the enemies and during World War 2 it was used by the Maltese together with the British army. The level of this march is intermediate.
