~ Two versions: one for intermediate solo piano, one for late intermediate solo piano. The melody is the same, as is the accompaniment pattern - continuous triplet eighth notes. The difference is how the triplets are arranged: the intermediate version is more consistent whereas the late intermediate version is more complex and therefore more complicated. Four pages each, Level 7 and Level 8.

Short but highly dramatic and passionate. The technical difficulty of this Toccata lies in the wide leaps for both hands at the beginning of most measures - LH up, RH down. While the reading is pretty straight-forward and there are no harmonic surprises, this Toccata needs a pianist who is thoroughly familiar with the keyboard and feels at ease moving quickly. Pedal is needed to help create the drama but could be tricky because of the step-wise motion of the melody. Level 8

Two pages of whirling dervish for intermediate piano.
Left hand has staccato eighth notes, right hand almost continuous sixteenth notes passagework, fits a small hand particularly well as there are only two instances of an interval of a seventh. Flashy, dramatic if not particularly profound. Level 7. ~

Toccata in G major 

RH continuous eighth note triplets in 3/4 time except that most measures start with an eighth rest. RH has a hidden melody on beats two and three. 

LH has mostly dotted half notes that move in a walking bass pattern, some quarter notes, a few octaves. 

As is typical for a Toccata, the rhythm is simple. This particular Toccata is also harmonically simple: in the key of G major with a modulation to D major and back to G major. It would be perfect for someone with fast fingers who is not a strong reader. Level 7-8, due to the very fast tempo.
