I have provided a live recording of the high voice version, which I think is preferable to a MIDI recording - it has some background noise from a baby in the first minute or so, but it gets better! It was originally written for violin and organ, also available on Sheet Music Press. The chorale melody was used by Bach in his St Matthew Passion, and is also in many hymn books as O Sacred Head Sore Wounded. For advanced performers, it is suitable as Prelude music throughout Lent, perhaps especially at a Tenebrae service. It could also be programmed as part of a recital. It is over 5 minutes in length. A MIDI recording is provided here, or check out the violin and organ version for a live performance.
