It is 5 minutes in length and appropriate for advanced students. The piece draws on the folk-style music that I played in the NYC subways. It is meant to evoke a hurdy-gurdy. Much of the time the melody is accompanied by a drone that becomes more and more rhythmic as the piece progresses.
