S'Feieromd (or sometimes Feierohmd, Feierobnd) was written in 1903 by the german poet Anton Günther. The lyrics are originally written in erzgebirgisch a central-german dialect spoken mainly in the central Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains) in Saxony. The traditional song is about Feierabend meaning quitting time or the end of work. The sentimental melody often gets performed at funerals but also works really well as the last piece of a concert.
