In the recording age Go Down Moses was made famous by Paul Robeson and Louis Armstrong. William Faulkner named a novel after the song and there is a memorable performance in the 1941 film, Sullivan’s Travels.Go Down Moses is arranged in a key and range best suited to the instruments.
