In fact the lead melody is a new idea and not derived from the solo piece. The piece has a permanent place in our repertoire, my wife playing the melody with an alto recorder as you may hear listening to the sample. Everything said regarding the solo piece applies to the duo and esp. the guitar part, while the latter features minor changes compared to the solo piece.
