The G Minor Concerto for Trombone follows the standard format of fast – slow – fast movements.  The first being Adagio – Andante and is entitled Variations.  The slow or 2nd movement – Lento - is in 6/8 meter and is entitled Remembering the ‘60’s.  The movement is based, in part, on a chord progression to a popular song from the 1960’s.  The 3rd movement, entitled Now, is up tempo and rhythmic.  It’s harmonic structure based in a jazz-like chord progression.  It is bright, thoughtful, and sometimes a bit moody.  Approximate length 17 minutes and 55 seconds.
