Moon River was originally sung by Audrey Hepburn in the 1961 film Breakfast at Tiffany's, winning both an Oscar and a Grammy award for Best Original Song that year. Andy Williams took the song and turned it into the theme for his TV show, and his version has become a beloved classic that's sure to pull at the heartstrings of your audience! This arrangement for solo cello is great for weddings, receptions, cocktail parties, solo & ensemble contests, and any other event that needs a beautiful, heartfelt tune. No accompaniment part -- it stands alone, or can be played with a backing track for solo gigs. This is an easy early-intermediate-level arrangement, entirely in first position with easy rhythms and only a handful of accidentals.
